True North Vacation Bible School
Children ages 3 through 5th grade are invited to our Barrington campus for an unforgettable VBS adventure where kids discover that Jesus is our true north. Through music, games, stories, and hands-on fun, children will build a rock-solid foundation as they learn to trust Jesus—their steady guide and unshakeable friend in every season of life.
4th of July Parade
The Village of Barrington is celebrating 250 years since the Declaration of Independence and has invited Barrington UMC to join the July 4th parade! If you’d like to march, help decorate, or be part of the fun, we’d love to hear from you. Use the link below to say you can help!

Mission Trip planned for Spirit Lake Ministry Center in Sheyenne, N. Dakota
The week before Labor Day, our mission team will travel to the Spirit Lake Nation, where we will spend the week helping harvest their garden and preserving the vegetables in cooperation with The Journey at Spirit Lake, the local community college, and ND State University.
$400 per person will cover lodging and meals at the Ministry Center. Participants will carpool together as we work closely with the community. If you are interested in joining the team, please let us know. If you cannot attend but would like to help with travel costs and an additional gift to this ministry, please mark your donation Mission 2026. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
Award-Winning Dolphins Quartet at Barrington UMC
All are invited to an evening of exceptional chamber music as the acclaimed Dolphins Quartet performs a free concert in the Sanctuary of Barrington United Methodist Church.
The quartet includes Luke Henderson, violin; Isaac Park, violin; Ian Maloney, cello; and James Preucil, viola. The ensemble’s artistry recently earned the group top honors at Chesapeake Music’s 12th Biennial Chesapeake International Chamber Music Competition.
Based in New York City and formed at The Juilliard School, the Dolphins Quartet is a string quartet and composer collective dedicated to uniting spirits through musical interpretation, innovation, and improvisation. The ensemble strives to make chamber music vibrant, relevant, personal, and reflective of our time. Their programs regularly feature works from the classical canon alongside underappreciated gems and original compositions.
The June 14 concert offers local audiences a unique opportunity to experience these rising chamber musicians in an intimate sanctuary setting known for its warm acoustics and welcoming atmosphere.
Admission is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be collected to support Growing Hope Globally, an organization dedicated to helping communities worldwide develop lasting solutions to hunger.
