Location: Barrington United Methodist Church, 98 Algonquin Road, Barrington, IL US 60010

Depression and Bullying
This group will meet in Room 111, facilitated by Jamie Altman, Clinical Social Worker, Samaritan Counseling

Jaime Altman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works primarily with adolescents and older adults at Samaritan Counseling, a faith-based non-profit located in Barrington.  Jaime began her career as an Adolescent Substance Abuse therapist at Family Services and Community Mental Health Center for McHenry County and joined Samaritan when that facility closed in 2012.

Jaime enjoys working with teenagers because they are working on developing their own identities, which is an exciting (and sometimes nerve-wracking!) process to watch.  Older adults are also interesting because they are often in the process of creating the narratives of their lives, even as they face challenges such as adapting to retirement and health issues.  Jaime resides in Lake Zurich with her husband and daughter, and her stepson has successfully launched and lives nearby.
