In partnership with Bethel United Methodist Church, the produce from the congregational garden is donated to the FISH food pantry in Carpentersville.  In 2010, the garden produced approximately 200 gallons (280-320 lbs) of fresh produce which was given to the food pantry.

Our goal is to expand the garden 3-fold to enable supply of fresh vegetables to the FISH food pantry on a daily basis. The FISH food pantry supports over 350 families per month.  To expand the garden, funds are required to supply water (approx. $2000) and to purchase a rototiller (approx. $1000).  The collection bottle located in the Narthex has been re-designated for supplies towards the garden.  Checks can be made out to BUMC,  MEMO: Garden.
