Small Class Sizes

about-368Noah’s Ark class sizes are small by design. Our staff wants your child to have a positive first time school experience. Our school provides a Christian environment where children can learn, grow, make friends, and have fun. Children are encouraged to share, take turns, negotiate conflicts, work in large and small groups, and learn to give and take in a classroom situation. Our teachers are able to give children individualized attention and develop a curriculum around their needs and interests. This provides an excellent foundation for kindergarten and beyond.

Quality Curriculum

We offer a high quality curriculum that exceeds state standards and will prepare your child to succeed whatever school he or she attends.

Jean Piaget observed that “play is essential to the development of the child.” Each Noah’s Ark teacher creates an environment that enriches and extends children’s play. Because not all children learn in the same way we incorporate Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences, which include: interpersonal, intrapersonal, musical, visual-spatial, verbal-linguistic, bodily kinesthetic, mathematical-logical and naturalistic intelligence in all areas of the curriculum.

about-929Preschoolers learn in a “hands-on” manner. Our teachers design their classroom spaces with “learning stations” and rotate and add materials frequently to maintain and extend your child’s interest. Teachers create their own games and materials if commercial ones do not offer the challenge needed. Young children learn best when trained teachers build on their interests and abilities. This encourages the development of problem-solving skills. Parents are partners with the professional staff and discoveries about your child’s development are shared, resulting in a program tailored to your child.

Spiritual Development

Noah’s Ark Christian Academy is dedicated to the spiritual growth of your child. Age appropriate Bible stories are introduced using books, flannel boards, songs and prayers. All age groups will participate in chapel time at least every other week with one of our church worship leaders. Children and teachers say grace before meals and snacks. The development of spiritual values and respect for God’s creation are foundational for our teachers.
