Disciple Bible Study classes provide opportunities for in-depth, long-term exploration of the bible in a small group setting. New sessions begin each Fall. For more information or to join the next session, contact Pastor Mi-Sook Yoo at email@example.com.
Disciple is a program of disciplined Bible study that leads participants deeper into the scriptures and deeper into their faith. Each study gives the Old and New Testaments equal time, emphasizing the wholeness of the Bible as a revelation of God. Disciple draws upon the work of scholars, the personal Bible reading and study of the participants, and dynamic group discussion to aid understanding of the Bible.
This 34-week study covers the entire Bible (Old and New Testaments), following the biblical story from creation to the Revelation. Disciple study draws upon the work of scholars, personal Bible reading and study of participants, and dynamic group discussion.
This 32-week study offers a deeper examination of Genesis, Exodus, Luke and Acts, emphasizing the rhythm of coming to god and going for God – approaching all experiences of life as opportunities for faithful witness and service. Participants are introduced to and encouraged to practice spiritual disciplines, especially the gifts of Sabbath rest and renewal.
In this 32-week study, participants will read the major and minor Old Testament prophets, with the exception of Daniel, and will read the thirteen letters traditionally attributed to Paul. The prophets and Paul are continually calling hearers and readers back to their God and to a sense of who they are as a people “set apart.”
This 32-week study dives into the Gospel of John, Wisdom writings in the Old Testament, and the book of Revelation. Together the class explores the metaphors and images in these particular portions of scripture and how they inform today’s understanding of faith.
