A baby, a manger, a small town, a quiet night. These things seem ordinary and insignificant but they make up one of the greatest stories of all time.

This Christmas, come hear this story and rediscover the child that changed everything.

Christmas Eve Worship Services

Children’s Christmas Gifts
November 24 and December 1
This is a great opportunity to shop with your children or grand-children or to be a ‘grandparent’ to a child receiving services from ChildServ or the D220 Early Learning Center.

ChildServ Teens and Transitioning Youth
November 24 and December 1
The opportunity to shop for themselves and select something desired is a special experience. Please place the gift cards or a check marked ChildServ gift cards in an envelope in the offering plate by December 1.

Ten Thousand Villages
Sunday, November 24
Fair trade gifts help the artisans and makers to support their families by paying a living wage in a safe workplace using materials and skills local to their community. Shop without guilt—grab something extra for yourself!

Heifer Living Gifts
December 8, December 15 and December 22
For all of your nearest and dearest, who already have everything they could want – they really need a duck, or rather, a flock of ducks. Consider a pig – truly an honorable gift! Perhaps a beehive or a cow would be perfect! A living gift, along with proper training, goes to a family in a developing country. The cash flow from their animals helps pay for their children’s school fees and, later, they are expected to pass the gift along by gifting offspring of their animals to their neighbors. Stop by the table, make a donation, and receive a card to give to friends and family.

Outside the Walls Christmas Luncheon
Friday, December 13
Join us at New Mount Moriah Baptist Church to help set up and serve lunch to guests from five halfway houses in Chicago. These recently released folks are rebuilding their lives one day at a time. This luncheon is a chance to show them that they are beloved children of God and to encourage them to reconnect with family and church. They have the chance to select gifts for their children or themselves and to gather some warm, slightly used, clothing. Please contact Bill Bible, , for more information and to say you can come. A group will drive together, please meet in the Barrington UMC parking lot at 10:00 a.m.—save the date! If you cannot join us, we will be collecting gloves, scarves, children’s toys and small denomination gift cards on Sundays, December 1 and December 8.
