Good Friday
The Chancel Choir and BUMC instrumentalists will lead us in a Tenebrae service. The word Tenebrae is the Latin word meaning darkness. The story of the suffering and death of Jesus from John’s gospel is divided into 16 readings. After each reading, a candle is extinguished and the worship experience concludes with the story of Christ’s burial read in near darkness.
